If you're planning a family day out at the Edinburgh Fringe, make sure you don’t miss Cinderella Ice Cream Seller – A Musical. This charming and creatively reimagined fairytale had us (kids and adults alike) giggling from start to finish!

The two actors were absolutely fab. Lauren wowed us with her lovely voice—and even added some cheeky warbling for extra laughs—while both performers dazzled on the piano, and David added in some guitar flair too.
Despite being a show that must be dismantled and rebuilt daily, the stage setup was very impressive—bright, clever, and so well-executed in Underbelly’s Ermintrude space.

Our little one was totally captivated by the audience participation. The actors came through the seats looking for Cinderella—and she got to hold the ice-cream bowl! She loved it. The actors also switched characters seamlessly just by trading hats.
We also loved that the story doesn’t rely on a prince to rescue Cinderella—she’s a strong, independent ice-cream-entrepreneur all on her own. And at the end, Cinderella stayed behind to say a warm farewell and hand out stickers—our little one adores a sticker!
If you head over to their Facebook page, you’ll even find a handy video showing how to find the venue (Ermintrude at Underbelly, Bristo Square)—it’s not the easiest to spot from George Square.
We left the theatre with big smiles (and a sticker or two!)—Cinderella Ice Cream Seller – A Musical is a joyful treat for the whole family. Don’t miss your chance to see this feel-good Fringe gem, running until 17th August.
